The Natural
Fibers Group, a non-profit 501c3 organization,
provides Educational
Outreach to the public by doing talks, displays, demonstrations
and hands-on activities. Our meetings enable local members to
learn and share, the newsletter distributes educational information
to members across the US and in Canada. Our members-only site
promotes interaction among members.
Membership
in NFG is open to all who wish to learn and share about Natural
Fibers in Basketry and Art. Our interests include
practical, historical, cultural & contemporary use of naturals
in all weaving mediums, such as wheat weaving, gourds, and other
fiber arts.

Fall: Long Leaf Pine Needle
Gather at Fair Winds! Member Dorothy Harrison has kindly
invited the group to collect from her large scenic property,
"Fair Winds," in Snow Hill. Dorothy has 15 acres
of long leaf pine trees, a large pond, woods and fields.
Sounds heavenly! Details to be announced.
