Have you ever
wanted to learn to prepare splints from an oak log? Here's your
chance! The weekend workshop includes hands-on experience in
oak preparation and two baskets, Small Oak Gathering Basket
and Mini Apple in Ash.
The class will
be held in Blounts Creek, NC Registration will be first come,
first served.

The Natural
Fibers Group, a non-profit 501c3 organization,
provides Educational
Outreach to the public by doing talks, displays, demonstrations
and hands-on activities. Our meetings enable local members to
learn and share, the newsletter distributes educational information
to members across the US and in Canada. Our members-only site
promotes interaction among members.
Membership
in NFG is open to all who wish to learn and share about Natural
Fibers in Basketry and Art. Our interests include
practical, historical, cultural & contemporary use of naturals
in all weaving mediums, such as wheat weaving, gourds, and other
fiber arts.
